Weston Connecticut

In the rustic and quaint town of Weston, where the Saugatuck River begins, almost one quarter of the town is permanently devoted to open space use. Whether it’s the 1,765 acre Devil’s Den featuring hiking paths, picnic areas and a pond, the 654 acres of Aspetuck Land Trust, or part of the many other preserves, every neighborhood can claim some piece of recreational land nearby. This space is in addition to the 2 acre minimum zoning laws adopted over 35 years ago to preserve natural beauty and sporting pleasures around Weston. For equestrians, there is a riding academy, and private clubs offer tennis, skeet shooting and golf.

Weston’s uniquely interconnected school complex on 117 acres offers a solid educational foundation, as well as enriching programs of music, drama, visual arts, athletics and interscholastic programs.

Weston CT - Fairfield County MapCounty fairs occur in the Spring and Fall, with the Grange Fair celebrating harvest time, and the Weston Women’s League sponsors a Farmers Market Saturday mornings from April through October.

Volunteerism is the heart of the community with multiple leagues and clubs events, including the Weston Volunteer Fire Department’s incomparable Memorial Day Parade.

There are no major highways or commuter rails in the town, but commuters can catch the Merritt Parkway, I-95 and the Metro-North just south in neighboring towns.
