Stroll Main Street in downtown Westport and you will fall in love with the town. A family owned pizza parlor and deli intermix with upscale shops and businesses. The Saugatuck River running along town is the perfect spot for rowers from the Saugatuck Rowing Club to prepare for regattas. And at the end of Main Street, across from the town green, is the Westport Public Library.

The Compo Beach neighborhood enjoys a swift stroll to the community beach and Long Shore, the town’s public golf course and country club. Breathtaking estates overlooking Long Island Sound in the Greens Farms neighborhood remind us why this is the “Gold Coast”. Inland, the Old Hill area’s grand homes embody country living with winding roads and stately trees.

Once a thriving artist colony, the artistic culture is still strong, with community theater groups and the Westport Country Playhouse, which recently completely a $30.6 million renovation. Main Street is filled with artists displaying their works at the Annual Outdoor Fine Art Festival. The Levitt Pavilion, the town’s outdoor amphitheater overlooking the Saugatuck River, features 50 nights of free concerts and performances from June through August. The residents generously support and are actively involved in the education system. The schools are focused on creating a strong academic foundation for the students along with a broad spectrum of programs, both in public and parochial schools.

While Westport has thriving local businesses and corporate headquarters, it is also a choice commuting town with I-95, the Merritt Parkway and two Metro-North stations, Saugatuck and Green Farms.
